1927

Our nearly 100-year history began in 1927 in Spain. At that time, a family-owned company founded by Félix Huarte Goñi began its journey and soon became a pioneer in the construction of the Spanish industry and a leader in the Spanish construction industry. Since then, we have pursued our goals and have become an international organization present on all continents.

1957

Our activities have covered various industries: automotive, recycling and waste management, food production, and renewable energy. Everywhere we have been, our values have defined our actions.

1988

In 1988, our adventure with renewable energy began. Uriel Renovables is our contribution to the green transformation. We build wind farms, photovoltaic plants, hydroelectric power plants, and biogas plants in Europe and both Americas. We constantly improve technology and every element of the process is to better utilize the potential that nature gives us. Each new project is a step towards perfection.

2003

Since 2003, Uriel has also been present in Poland, as Ibereolica Sp. z o.o., which in 2022 changed its name to Uriel Energia Sp. z o.o. We not only invest, but we are also present at every stage of our projects, from development through financing, construction to operation. Our past achievements in Poland include wind farms with a total of 68 turbines, almost 206 MW of clean energy for almost 145,000 households, a reduction of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere by 430,000 tons per year. Our projects, besides energy, amount to over PLN 100 million for municipal budgets in the form of taxes and rent fees during operation, over PLN 12 million in compensatory investments for residents during construction and operation, and over PLN 5 million invested in repairs of county roads near our projects.

I am a responsible and persistent person, focused on my tasks and achieving the goals set, and that is why I thrive in finance and accounting, which I deal with at Uriel.

My persistence and interests allowed me to graduate from studies in accounting at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and obtain the title of Certified Auditor.

I am an open and cheerful person, valuing relationships with people I meet in my professional and personal life. I like to travel, explore new places, and spend time in nature.

Joanna Szydłowska

Financial Specialist

I am an optimist who enjoys every free moment spent in nature: in the forest, by the lake or on a plot of land in the heart of Tuchola Forest. My biggest hobby is growing all kinds of flowers, both indoor and outdoor. I highly value the time spent with my pets.

Over the last few years, I have been responsible for organizing the work of the accounting team, preparing monthly and annual financial reports and statements in an international service company. I have extensive experience working under time pressure in tight deadlines.

My many years of experience in a managerial position in the accounting department allowed me to obtain a job at Uriel Energia.

Piotr Kwiatkowski

Project and O&M Manager

By nature, I don't like to spend too much time on things, but I don't see it as a flaw. The desire for more free time is what drives humanity towards progress. So, to help people have more time for rest, I became an electrical engineer after graduating from the Gdańsk University of Technology.

My professional life has been related to construction, mainly wind farms. For the past 3 years, I have been working at Uriel Energia, where I basically continue what I have been doing so far, but additionally, I have the opportunity to try out areas of development and operation, i.e., to be involved in a project from its inception to maturity.

I am happy that at Uriel we harness the power of nature without harming it, while also saving human labour.

As befits someone associated with electricity, I love heavy music and rock'n'roll, and to balance my energy, I work around the house.

My interest in renewable energy started in 2006 when I began working with the Uriel Group. At that time, I effectively engaged in the construction of wind farms, starting from the greenfield stage through to the closing of financing and the exploitation period.

I am a responsible, effective person who can handle difficult situations and believes in the sense of their actions. Perseverance and conviction in the right direction of development allow me to achieve my goals.

I have been living in Poland for 20 years and in the meantime, I have learned the Polish language and permanently associated myself with Poland, where thanks to openness and ease of making contacts, I have met many fantastic people.

My passion is architecture, modern art, and in my free time I can easily be found on a bike or hiking in the mountains.

Development

Since the beginning of our operations in Poland, we have been developing renewable energy projects in various technologies (wind farms, photovoltaic farms, energy storage facilities, etc.). So far, the total capacity of the projects we have developed exceeds 1 GW. Our advantage is our involvement in the entire development process, from greenfield to a fully ready-to-build project. During the implementation, we cooperate with the best planners, environmental experts, and designers. Our tasks include:

acquiring land rights
obtaining the required administrative decisions and permits
agreements on connection to the grid
ensuring all other required permits are obtained
acquiring project finance funding with reputable banks or equity partners
energy sales strategy (CfD/PPA) along with the preparation of relevant documents

EPC

We have completed and launched projects with a total capacity of 165 MW. The final result of our work is the launched and operating installations along with all the required permits. We offer cooperation in the entire EPC process, which includes, among others:

conducting the bidding process, selection and purchase of components, deliveries and services
developing executive projects
implementation and supervision of the construction process
budget supervision (CAPEX)
coordination, reporting, and preparation of documentation for the purpose of financing activation and payment of individual tranches (equity + senior debt)
obtaining a concession for energy generation
full connection to the grid and obtaining FON

O&M – Asset Management

Currently, we manage installations with a total capacity of 165 MW consisting of 48 wind turbines, SN/WN stations, and over 40 km of SN/WN connections. Our goal is to provide the owner with an installation generating steady income and highest production efficiency. Our tasks include:

maintenance of installations in proper technical condition
coordination of service work and periodic inspections
post-implementation monitoring
coordination of activities with OSP and OSD dispatch center services
commercial management (tax and accounting services)
reporting energy production and financial data to relevant institutions (OPS/OSD, URE, ARE, Settlement Administrator...)
reporting to shareholders and financing institutions
preparation of budgets and supervising their implementation (OPEX)
constant contact with landowners and local administration
supervising the implementation of ESMP (Environment and Social Management Plan) assumptions
